The Wind Ensemble of Western Connecticut

                                    Richard Gard, Music Director

Richard Gard accepted the position of music director of the Wind Ensemble in the fall of 2005.  He is Associate Professor of Music and Chair of the Department of the Arts at Naugatuck Valley Community College.  Richard completed his doctoral studies at Yale School of Music where he             continues as Lecturer on Hearing and Musicianship, and Director of Music at the St. Thomas More   Chapel.  He enjoys a successful career as a composer, keyboard player, singer,          

and conductor in a variety of venues.
